Urbane Gospel Choir

On Ash Wednesday, Feb. 17, Urbane, a Gospel Choir from Pocono Mountain East and West high schools performed in the Main Capitol Rotunda on Feb. 17.  The choir is comprised of students from grades 8 through 12. Rep. Mario M. Scavello (R-Monroe), right, was pleased to welcome them to Harrisburg for their noon performance. Many of the legislators, judges, and workers in the Capitol took pause to listen to the music of this extraordinary choir.  "Urbane makes the people who listen to them feel the music they are singing, because they are feeling the music," said Scavello. "They represented the school with proudly, and with dignity, and entertained a large crowd that gathered to listen during their lunch hour."
